Traveling anywhere can be very expensive. However, if you plan right, it does not have to be!
The first thing I did was check on a flight from Montgomery, Alabama to San Francisco. I was very shocked to find out that the cheapest flight I could find was for over $800.00! At that time, I figured I just could not afford to get out there.
Then a very amazing person told me about Cheaptickets.com. No, we have no affiliation with them. They managed to find me a flight from Montgomery to San Francisco for $179.00! Amazing.
Then came time for the hotel room. I guess I lucked out when Marriott sent me a statement about some old Marriott reward points that I had saved up from some 6 years ago. With a few clicks of the mouse, I got a nice hotel room near the Ranch for a total cost of $15.00 - which was the express shipping of my certificates I could use at the hotel. Lucked out again.
Lastly, I needed a rental car. After searching everywhere, I choose Avis.com as they had a low rate - a whole $50.00 for two days.
Ok, so with a total now of just under $250.00 I was ready to get out to California and to the Ranch.
With no big problems during my journey, I got to the Ranch right on time.
