PULP FICTION: CANADIAN SPECIAL EDITION
Reviewed March 8th, 1999 by Staff

The Canadian Special Edition (yes, it is Region 1) of Pulp Fiction represents the lack of effort shown by Buena Vista in America. Both versions offer a 2.35:1 Widescreen version (but are not 16x9 enhanced). The films is presented on a dual layer disc and offers 5.1 DD English. Alliance put on their disc, a French 2.0 soundtrack while Buena Vista offers Spanish 2.0. The only real difference between the two films is the extras that the Canadian version offers. Alliance has put four deleted scenes on the disc with an intro by the director, Quentin Tarantino. This only makes the Alliance version much more for your money! The menus on the Alliance disc are not near in quality of Buena Vista, but that is easily overlooked when comparing the two.

If you have never seen the movie, it is full of surprises. It is rated R.
