The movie staring Christopher Walken (who does a great job as always) and Eric Stoltz takes us through a story full of interesting detail. The movie basically is about Walken who plays Gabriel, a dark angel.
For 1000 years a battle has been taking place between angels who are loyal to God and those who wish humans be banned from heaven. This is a great story of good vs evil at its highest form. The cast and plot of the movie makes a great movie experience.
At one time, this was a Canadian Region 1 disc, but since has found its way into the states at last. The image is not perfect. But don't let this stop you from enjoying the movie. Overall the image is REALLY dark which gives the movie a good overall dark tone to it. The film is presented in 2.35:1 and is not 16x9 enhanced. You won't find DD 5.1 here - the movie is presented in “Ultra Stereo” which is basically 2.0 DD. Don't let this stop you either because the mix IS good with many surround effects.
Even though not the best in audio and video quality and there are no supplements, this disc for the movie and experience of the story is still highly recommended. Rated R and 97 minutes.
