Spies Like Us is a classic! The movie stars Dan Aykroyd and Chevy Chase and an all-star cast that includes cameos by Bob Hope, Frank Oz and others. The movie is about 2 flunky civilian federal employees who get picked to be promoted and then act as “decoys” in a top secret mission that eventually leads them to the Soviet Union. This is a hilarious movie written by Aykroyd.
The video is presented in full frame with no widescreen version available. The quality of the video seemed to change from scene to scene. Sometimes it would be very clear, other times it seemed grainy. They should have spent the money on a new remastered transfer.
Audio is DD 2.0 which works rather well for the mostly dialog movie. The few explosions were very weak without the LFE channel pumping away.
No supplements were included on the disc. If you can find the movie under $10.00 then it might be worth it, otherwise skip it.
