Those who have it, watch the trailer. That's the quality most are used to when they have watched this movie. First, let us say that the image is CRYSTAL CLEAR about 95% of the time. It is amazing how “new” this movie looks after all these years. The reds and blue's looked very nice. The light cycles were better than could be imagined. Sound, well the debate is on with the exact mix of thesoundtrack. The box does say 5.1, but some DVD players shows it at 5 channel. 5.1 would be listed as 6 different channels. You make up your own judgement. Anyways, the sound quality is very good. Much better than the VHS or watching it on cable.
