RONIN
Reviewed February 20th, 1999 by Staff

A stange movie but full of action is the best way to describe it. Robert DeNiro (Casino, Heat, etc) and Jean Reno (The Professional) lead a mixed up cast of hired guns to steal a silver “case” from what looks like a very rich man. The movie has two great car chases that can really blow you away (and give your 5.1 a good workout). Both a full-frame and widescreen (16x9 enhanced) version of the film has been included. For the most part the image was clear with no visible signs of artifacts. The audio was clear and used the surround speakers to put you right in the middle of all the action. John Frankenheimer (Director) has included a commentary track and also you can see the originial ending. Also included is a special online event on March 14th. If you have the Ronin Movie, a DVD-Rom in your computer and a Windows 95 or 98 machine, you will get to experience an online chat and a “making of” with the director.
